WE'VE ONLY JUST BEGUN

After searching high and low, Vince and I finally have our own living room set.  We had been wanting to get one since I moved to Lebanon, but we were on a budget and wanted our purchase to be affordable and reasonable without sacrificing the quality and aesthetic factor of the furniture.  We had looked around different stores online and on-site but we decided to hold off on buying until we find a really good deal.

Last month while out on a regular weekend, we happened to stumble upon Ashley Furniture Store.  The place is definitely a furniture haven.   Most of the styles that we initially saw were too regal and royal for our humble abode, but as we walked further around the store, we saw several styles which suited our liking and pockets!  We both agreed on getting a leathery material as opposed to cloth/fabric mainly for upkeeping purposes.  Two days ago, our living room set finally was delivered, and yesterday, we spent time rearranging our apartment to accommodate our brand new furniture.

Without further ado, allow me to share photos of our newest fruits of labours, and latest addition to monuments of God's blessings in our lives!

PS: I hope you won't mind that I threw in some other pictures ;)

We haven't removed the tags yet ! Don't you just like the way the drapes accentuate the room ? ;)
The lovely chaise is not new.  I have had that for about three years now.  The matching ottoman beside it was an "incidental buy" from Kitchen Stuff Plus in December 2010.

Notice that the walls are a bit bare.  I have yet to shop for a wall art/deco to complement our set.

Throw pillows and accent rag to follow !
This Kitchen Stuff Plus dining set is also not new - about three years - but the table cloth is fairly new - about three months ^_^

My work station. Thank God for this tiny corner of power house :) PC and desk are more than five years now, yet both are in absolute reliable working condition ! The chair - about three years, and laptop - about two years or so.  Mirror on the wall is a hand-me-down from Vince's chief resident in 2009.  Guess who's the current chief resident?  No other than my very own husband, Dr. Vincent Glenn Valencia.  I'm so proud of him !
Vince's corner :) The black bookshelf is from Wal-Mart. Also beside Vince's desk, partly seen is a TV stand from Canadian Tire - which is again not new, about four years now.

End table.  Candle and candle holders from Dollar Store - about three years.
Centre table.  Candle holder centrepiece is from Kitchen Stuff Plus - summer 2010.
Round table runners needed to protect from scratches :D
End table. Pictures to be inserted in frames :) Candles are from Wal-Mart and Dollar Store.
