LET'S EGGSPERIMENT

How many ways have you cooked an egg? ☻

About two months ago, Vince and I were in Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, for a couple of interviews/site visits.  During those visits, we were housed in a couple of bed and breakfast, one of which is The Kinmount House.  The host of this house, Mr. Patrick Healey, is  popular for the Kinmount House Eggs he serves for breakfasts.

Kinmount House Eggs are definitely not boring!

I didn't ask our host for the recipe of this beautiful egg meal but my guess is that this is accomplished by separating the yolk from the white, beating the white until it becomes fluffy then layering it on top of a slice of bread and cheese, and then placing inside the oven to cook, with the yolk being added last. Of course, I could be wrong, but one way to find out is to try cooking this myself.  Hehe!

Since we're talking about eggs anyway, allow me to also share this picture of Cora's Eggs Ben Et Dictine that I digged from my iPhone:

Eggs Ben Et Dictine are so not your eggs-next-door!

Eggs Ben Et Dictine are two poached eggs on an English muffin covered with Hollandaise sauce and comes with a choice of mushrooms, Swiss cheese, Brie, ham, asparagus or smoked salmon, and served with home fries and fresh fruits.

I don't usually eat breakfast but after realizing that there are more fun ways to cook eggs, I just had the urge to eggsperiment and try putting fun in home-cooked breakfasts!  I will definitely let you know once I've done so ;)

  2. I am so interested in that Kinmount House Egg. How wonderful! I bet it tasted really good. I too love eggs and I just had two hard-boiled eggs for breakfast and just that to keep me going while I workout. We have new chicks this time and they are all hens so my goodness we are going to have load of eggs soon. :) Let us know if you figured out how to make that house egg. hehehe... Yummy! Maybe he used a blow torch to brown up the top? hahaha.... Like whisking the whites until it forms stiff peak, then form it into like a bowl to place the yolk on top then use the blow torch. I think that if you bake the whites it burns easily. I don't know! Just a guess.

  5. Yep, let us know how your EGGperiment will turn out. Now that it's holy week, eggs are a part of my diet -- but I usually just boil it, or add it to my tuna sandwich. The first picture sure looks yum! Since you have an idea how they prepared it, it's definitely a challenge for you to relive that EGGperience.

Have a blessed Holy Tuesday Ms. KM! It's still Holy Monday there in the yu-es.

    Take care!

  12. That's worth trying, KM! The first pic I meant! Kaso, not now for me, because my pregnancy hormones are not liking the smell of eggs pa. Lol. There's this egg menu that I have tried during our Florida trip in 2005, but I forgot which restaurant I've ate it. Waaaaaah too bad talaga. Lol.

    BPC hop!
