BREAKFAST AT CORA

When Vince and I would like to go a little bit fancy for breakfast in Toronto, we would usually go to Cora.  I learned about this place through my BFF, and the first time I ate there was when Vince and I were still doing our long distance relationship stint in 2009.  It was one of his quick visits, and before he went back to the States on a Sunday, we went for breakfast at Cora.  After that, we have gone a few more times - once with friends from New York, and another time with family.

Breakfast menu in Cora includes fresh fruits, eggs, crepes, pancakes and waffles.  If you read my post about Cafe Demetre, you would remember that one thing I loved about the place is the fun and cool trademark names, e.g. Moo La La, Tongue Depressor, From Here to Maternity, for their signature desserts. Similarly, Cora has fun and interesting names in its menu that would make you really curious as to the origin of those.  Among my faves are Cora's Special (two eggs, ham, bacon, sausage and crepe served with roasted potatoes and toast), Sunshine Panini (panini filled with eggs, ham or bacon and cheddar served with a mound of fresh fruit), and Eggs Ben Et Dictine (choice of mushrooms, Swiss cheese, Brie, ham, asparagus or smoked salmon plus two poached eggs on an English muffin covered with Hollandaise sauce served with home fries and fresh fruits).

Cora is definitely a good place to have breakfast.  I like how they balance the meals they serve with fresh fruits that come with each.  The prices are reasonable as well.  I love going back to Cora for breakfast, though I have a little confession to make.  You may not believe this, but if I am to choose my favorite place for breakfast, nothing still beats McDonald's. Ooohhhh, how I love their hash browns.  Hehe!

  2. Type ko yung last 2 pics na kinain nyo. Napapaghalatang matakaw, hahaha! Sa dami e lunch ko na din pag ganyan. About your question how I book sa mga resorts churvah.

  5. Of the three food plates, I'd go for Rosemary Sunday, but since I am not "allowed" to eat pork, I'd settle for the Omelet Plate. :)

Oooohhh Hash Browns. I am not sure if it taste the same as the ones you have there in Canada, but yes, MickeyD's hash browns are good.

Thanks for linking up to Weekend Eating, KM!
